Yesterday I bought a few Bowdens own bits from SC as they were 30% off. Among them was their snow foam lance.

This thing is way way better than the Karcher foam gun which I was using before. I’ll now relegate the Karcher gun to the Happy Ending as you really don’t need that to go on thick.

The foam goes on a lot thicker with the Bowdens Own gun. I was using their Snow Foam product at the recommended 10:1 ratio.
The Territory really wasn’t dirty as I washed it on the weekend. But I’m sure you guys understand.

See post #634. I took advantage of the sale also and bought the snow cannon etc. I also posted a pic of my foamed up territory

Although quite thick I didn't think it was as thick as bowdens YouTube clip demo. Obviously the pressure of the washer makes a difference.

Yes the pressure washer will make a difference and I have a pretty gutsy K7 Karcher. But I found the Bowdens own cannon very adjustable and I probably over did it a little as it was crazy thick like whipped cream and a little hard to wash off. I might tweak the mixture a bit or turn the gun knob down a bit.
As the Territory was already really clean I did a touchless wash by just spray foaming then rinsing. I then followed that up with Bowdens Own Happy and rinsing followed by toweling it dry.
I would use this technique on the Mustang as I think you risk scratching it while drying if you dislodge stuff you haven’t washed off.

You can never have too much snow foam.

Bowden's Snow Job is one of the thicker snow-foams.

I would leave the cannon on full and tweak your dilution.

Car got its first wash today since lazy wax and fully slick. Decided to add wet dreams on top. Good old bead porn 👌🏻

Brake dust is really annoying. Used wheely clean but I think I need to find a better technique to make the process easier. These wheels are awful to clean.

Fiestaz - have you tried giving your wheels a coating of wet dreams? Spray on and high pressure hose. That might help stop the brake dust bonding??

Yeah I have, every time I wash it. Plenty comes off with wheely clean but it’s not great.

What brake pads do you use?

I have found genuine pads to consistently be very good for lack of brake dust and also competitively priced. Haven't battled brake dust for years.

Love that colour, classic Ford blue!

Wheely Clean is a great product, however I have found the cleaning ability of P & S Brake Buster better on stubborn wheels. I use it straight up for maximum bite but it can be diluted too. Might be worth a try if you are having to deal with a lot of brake dust.

https://detailingshed.com.au/collect...s/brake-buster

Also, I have found a wheel brush with either wool, synthetic wool or microfibre heads better at biting into brake dust than the bristled type.

https://www.bowdensown.com.au/wheel-woolies-triplets

Invest in a good boars hair brush if you don't already have one, use this for the lugs and the smaller intricate areas.

It has bremtec brake pads. I was sold the front ones (they do feel really good) and was told “No brake dust”…. Lies. I like the way they feel, trade off I suppose.

I think a proper brush is the way to go. I have the foursome, great for wheel nuts but no good for the whole wheel. Should have taken advantage at the supercheap sale….

Ok - haven’t posted re products and pics for sometime - Sydney lockdown presents the time to spend on the Sprint thankfully for my time is stretched due to work being flat out, chores at home etcetc so yesterday morns cool temps and sunny day I was able to spend 4hrs without the boss breaking my chops
Spent more time on the inside tbh for it was overdue.
Outside needs way more time that I didn’t have but gave it a general clean up incl calipers wheels.
It’s locked back inside for yet to coat the wheels - dlux the grills but overall Sprint is looking a ok.

Outside

Reflections are mad

Products used

And consumed after

Enjoyable 4hrs therapy - yes I had another 4 CCD’s lol

Nice work.

I love those wheels on the Sprint, they suite it perfectly.

And I also note the mats protecting the mats.

What sort of fool would do that..........................................

XR6 has OE rubber mats on top of the original blue XR carpet mats. (Check out the factory original warped glove box lid )

XR8 has a black towel.

OMG, the things I do...........

Angelwax Vision - The "sledgehammer" of glass cleaners!

https://www.detailstore.com.au/colle...-cleaner-500ml

For glass cleaning, I usually get great results from using the two towel method and Stoner's Invisible Glass. Sometimes though, I need something with more aggression, and this is where Angelwax Vision comes in.

This stuff is potent, a quick whiff of this stuff will nearly burn your lungs right out of your chest! And yet it is deemed tint safe. Angelwax Vision is expensive, but this is a product that you may only use once or twice a year to cut through an accumulation of funk on neglected glass.

Use this product the same as any glass cleaner, spray onto the first towel (or Reach and Clean tool), wipe the glass then buff with the second towel. If you still have streaks, repeat the process using another set of towels. Yes, it can be a bit of process but once you get the glass fully clean, further maintenance will be much easier. I would also caution against spraying Vision directly onto interior glass. I mentioned this is aggressive stuff and I would be very careful not to get it on interior plastics.
