It was stripes and colour only from the Factory , however McLeod Ford sold some tricked up versions which they put together themselves which had some go faster bits on them "Carb - Exhaust and Mag wheels " from memory - I lived just up the road from John and he drove a John Goss special (JG395) for many years and as late as 1978 so he probably owned it as they came out after his 1974 Bathurst win so it would have been to old to be a dealer car.

I had a factory EL 5.0 Fairmont Ghia Continental , factory dealer code 3999 . It was a little different indeed , mostly just interior trim was different , never saw another one like it.
Goss specials , we're nothing special in the driveline department at all , in fact they were standard 302 slugs.

I remember a guy in high school used to have a Fairmont V8 mock-up of one of these. Geez I miss the days when 17 and 18 year olds could drive their V8s to school.
