The missus is cool with whatever, these are just cars for the boys.
As long as she gets a limo with champagne she is happy (will be DF LTD limo to keep the E series theme) |

My mate Matt got married couple of years ago and he used mine and two other mates EBGT's. (1 of each color)
I think the pics are posted in Show us your GT's or something like that. Nothing uncool about an E Series being used as a wedding car at all.

Mate i think it looks cheap to go all out and get a BMW or a Hummer.
Style doesnt cost a cent, looking cheap does. Go the E series, or whatever you both want. Forget what other people think. I had XYs at my wedding (wyld71). The mrs let me, but she did have some reservations. (she has no interest in cars whatsoever.) Know that she has seen some much old muscle at weddings we been too since then, or seeing them on the road with ribbons, she now understands. Post up some pics and congrats on the upcoming wedding. To know that she will leave it up to you, you got a good one there.

I have the same problem as you.. Im getting married early 2012. And Im throwing crazy amount of cash into my XR to have it ready by thenn. A few mates say that its just an 8K falcon, my reply is, this is MY XY GT! Doesnt matter what ppl say. As long as the mrs is happy then go for it.

Its not an Aussie wedding without bogan cars
Seriously though, Its your wedding. Who cares what others say? A clean E-Series still grabs attention and they look great, so why not. Put up a pic of your wedding fleet Craig.... |

Mate do whatever makes you happy. E series or whatever...it's your day to enjoy.
I had 2 genuine GT-HO's (mates) plus my XY GT replica at my wedding. I actually drove myself and the groomsmen to the church in my car. Was an awesome feeling! Whatever you do, don't drop burnouts (and then post it on youtube lol)...it looks cheap, tacky and def bogan...whatever car you're in! cheers, Dave. |

As long as your happy mate go with what ever cars you want.
We used the Misses uncles ELGT and Her cousins VT Clubsport. We were going to use her uncle's Vermillion Fire XYGT but the fuel system was playing up on the day 40+ degrees on that day. He brought it down to the Reception centre though so we had all our photos taken in and in front of it.

Early 80s I drove the bride in a yellow XD wagon. I thought it was wrong then. I still cringe thinking about it now. (Not related to the ELs).
A few years ago I drove a white stretched Lincoln Towncar for a while. That was niceeee. Good for brides too. Quote:
Apart from personal cars, I associate black with funerals. Quote:
Last year I went to a funeral that used a few stretched Hummers to move 30 or 40 people instead of a string of cars or a bus. Otherwise, I agree Hummers suck. |

Do it. A mate of mine asked me to ferry them around for their wedding in my EL mont. Was happy to do it for them.

An E series wedding car is like Keira Knightley showing up at the Oscars with Glenn Robbins.
