You are an utter moron Nathan your car doesnt sound that good in first gear or any other gear for that matter, maybe put a real exhaust on it and we all might change our tune, anyone can cut their end muffler off and think they're cool.

Driving the wrong way around round abouts, not giving way, stopping in the middle of the road to have a chat with people going the other way, grossly overloading buggies, driving on the wrong side of the road, kids well under driving age in control of buggies, all things we see on an hourly basis around here, and thats before you count pedestrians who are walking in the middle of the road even though there is a perfectly good footpath a few meters to the other side of them.

If nothing else it teaches tolerance!
so youed be in the market for a hummer..

ill admit i have once yelled at another driver, I was on my pushbike and actually going faster then this blonde in her own little world, who then makes a left hand turn without indcating, nearly taking out my front wheel as she whipped across the bike lane, and since the road she took ran parallel, just lower as i was heading up a bridge i had time to give her a piece of my mind through her open window (i dont like being nearly killed)

heres a story for you all :

I was remaining stationary to go across the flow of incoming cars to pull into an angle park spot, women comes ripping down the road in a minivan sees me sitting there sees the spot yells out language that would have made a sailor blush, and dives into the spot and jumps out I was doing nothing more than watching and she spread her legs in her pants and gave me both birds! not believing what had just happened I said "have a nice day" and proceeded to drive off - and the language started again - I cant even swear that hard! so I drove off and parked round corner and got out and was walking down the street to tend to the business that put me in that location, and this woman went off at me again saying I am stalking her and stuff! got in her minivan and left

"Ever been unfairly yelled at by another driver?"

I drive a small bright red car with full over the top white GT stripes ..... in Brisbane ..... where all the dropkick drivers hang out!!

Yea, I reckon that's a positive ...."YES"... from me! .... on many occasions!

I did yell at a young girl once she came across halfway into my lane and I had to drive up the footpath to avoid a headon she didnt notice continued on putting her lipstick on looking in her rearview mirror checking her makeup

I've got a double lane roundabout near me that I've been using for about 10 years now, it's got broken lines in one part of the roundabout and people can change to the outside lane mid-roundabout to enter a servo. Anyway, I'm coming home from work on a Friday afternoon and approach the roundabout same as I have a million times before, there's a car coming around in the inside lane so I rightfully stop to give way. I'm stopped maybe 1-2 seconds and this clown behind me starts beeping, waving hands around and going off his nut. Once the car passes I go through the roundabout but then I get stopped at a red light that's about 100m further on. He changes lanes so he can can pull up next to me and he start's going mental. He had his window up so I signaled to wind it down as I can't hear him and he does, then starts telling me I'm ******* hopeless etc. He's driving a work hilux with full company logo and whatnot so I figure maybe he's just in some big hurry to get to a job or something, even though it's 6pm on a Friday. Light turns green and he floors it, cuts in front of me and takes off up the hill. He puts indicator on and I see where he's going that's so important that he cant wait for 2 seconds at the roundabout, the Dan Murpheys bottleshop :. I was going there as well, I go in and get a carton and then go to the counter and he's being served in front of me also buying carton. He went to pay with a credit card and I thought stuff it and let fly "what the **** are you doing!?!, cmon!!!, I'm in a hurry mate still have food to get, you're ******* hopeless!, beeep beeeep, c'mon let's get going".
He wasn't impressed and waited outside for me, I inquired about wines until he left, he was a lot more angry then I was, it was Friday arvo happy time for everyone but this lad.

I have been yelled at a few times.

One morning after a party at a mates, my other other mate in a white ef falcon with a sports exhaust left at 7am and took off down the street making heaps of noise. That afternoon i went to visit my mate who had the party (first time anywhere near that side of town that day) and when i pulled up i got some old bloke two houses down the road yell at me at the top of his lungs and threaten to put a brick through my windscreen if I ever went fast/loud past his house again. I was like "WTF i havent been here at all today" he kept going on as he walked on.

Was once driving around my old town holding gears mucking around and since my car is heaps loud i had some drunk old fella come out of the pub and go off saying "F--- it off..take it home and park it up". I went back past him a few more times before going home.

Other times have mostly been when mucking around with mates. I have a siren thing that makes all the animal and siren sounds etc. Drive past all the drunks or groups of young teens and make sounds. They always try to yell back but we are to busy laughing.

As my uncle once said "you can go somewhere else and f--- around but dont do it in your own town. People complain too much".

Had other little run ins from people nearly hitting me etc but nothing special

Me and my sister used to point out to mum how bad she road rages (Its REALLY bad) anyways, now she turned out EXACTLY like mum but EVEN WORSE! She is in the passenger seat and rages at everyone, hits the horn etc. I'm waiting for the day when someone breaks the window and punches her in the head.

Anyways, Mum is usually doing the yelling and screaming at other drivers.

A bloke came out after paying for fuel, and presumably his wife was in the drivers seat so rather than park head-on with him, I decided to just pull to the left of the pumps so they could drive straight out. Well, they just sat there for half a minute at least, so I gave up waiting, backed up and pulled up to the right of the pump, head-on with them. I got out to get the fuel, and the bloke got out of the passenger seat. He yelled at me "Thanks a lot mate" and started directing his wife to reverse. There was stacks of room to reverse, but she was extremely bad at it, so he was having to guide her. When she'd reversed out, he got back in and they drove out, giving me the biggest glare!

I gave them so much time, my intentions couldn't have been any clearer, so I still don't know why they didn't go when I left room for them!
So frustrating at the pumps, if you do the right thing and wait a minute for the car at the rear pump to leave, some clown will pull in front and reverse in, blocking the guy at the rear pump who is about to leave between them and you. Today I went and got petrol, pulled in behind another car, he finished before me. I didn't even need half a tank, so I wasn't taking long. I went in and paid, walked straight in, was next in line, paid cash and straight out. Couldn't have done it much quicker. What did I see upon exiting? Car pulled in front and a guy behind me. The guy waiting echoed my thoughts about the limited mental capacity of the guy in front. So the guy behind moved, and I reversed out.

It's not hard, one way in, one way out. Driving around and reversing in just upsets the apple cart and makes it harder for everyone else.
Before anyone suggests moving the car first - I'm sure that makes the servo staff nervous of a drive off, so I pay first, move afterwards.

A little while ago I had some little weed tailgate me off the lights in Frankston (a suburb of many fine genetic specimens - not). Considering I was going faster than the 2 cars left of me, I didn't feel the guy behind in his EF had a valid reason to sit literally half a metre off my bumper. I couldn't see half his bonnet in the mirror - that is about how close cars typically sit stopped at the lights. Going faster with someone so close only makes it worse, so I levelled off my speed (but was still up the front of the traffic) and made eye contact via the rear view mirror. He cut off the guy left of him, drove past, cut me off then brake tested me - coming to a near and abrupt stop 20 metres from the lights. So first he tailgates me then feels that I'm the one in the wrong. Then he took off from the lights with a burnout and a raised middle finger.

Jeez, a bit uptight. Look at it from someone elses perspective for once. Just cos you like it - doesn't mean every one else likes a drony AU humming past at 50km's in 1st. How a car is being driven says alot about its style.

One topic. Had a completely random one yesterday night coming back from work. Turned into a street a few streets from my place, and about 20 metres into the street there was a bogan and his 2 kids waiting at the bus stop. I was doing absolutely nothing stupid, and he just breaks out into "Get a ******* holden you c***head raaarrrgh raaaarrrgh" and so on and so forth. I got about 100m past him and he was still shouting stuff and doing the thing where you clench your fist and punch it to the air while using you're other arm to slap down on your bicep. Was going to drive back and tell him to get a car ... and stop taking the bus or something like grow some teeth, but hey - It was salisbury east and I didn't wanna get knifed. I'll let that go through to the keeper.

Another one was in the work ute about 6 months ago. I took off over traffic (hastily but not fast), and this old guy pointed at me and started mouthing off. I had nowhere to be, so I went around the block and found him a bit further down the road. I pulled up beside him, and asked why he was pointing at me and carrying on. He said he lives local and he's sick and tired of people being idiots, and then apologised and said I did nothing wrong - he is just frustrated with the noise from the road. WTF!

wouldnt say its uptight.. its more like annoyed that a few people decide to flame him for something he likes doing which isnt dangerous, isn't illegal - i very much doubt its loud enough to pull the cops when downshifting - and doesnt hurt anyone.. some people just love any old excuse to throw a keyboard at someone..

I said nothing of the sorts. I only expressed my opinion on it. I don't care if he likes it or he wants to listen to it ... I'll cast my own opinion when it goes humming past me, and I'm pretty sure it'll be a negative one. If he's entitled to like it, I'm entitled to dislike it.

alright but its still unnecessary for everyone to jump down his throat due to something he enjoys doing - its not like he drove past you and annoyed you did he? nor anyone else here to my knowledge.

Yesterday it was peak hour and I was riding shotgun in Mum's car, she was on her way to work in Broadmeadows. Need I say more?

Anyways i'll continue:

We were at a roundabout and the guy on the left hand lane right next to us speed matched us and tried turning right from the left hand lane, and nearly took the front of my mums car off or sideswiped us. Mum beeped the horn and started yelling as usual, I know know why Dad refuses to let me drive in Broadmeadows because in that town, no one at all follows road rules.

That and we don't like hanging around in case we get shot at or knifed.

Umm, yeah we're not talking about downshifting and having a crackle - we're talking about driving around actually in first gear all the time, its really little wonder the car gets vandalised. Sorry Nathan - some things you just bring on yourself, like being permanently banned from a number of other SA forums (not AFF) and being pulled over in town every weekend.

EDIT: I must note that the post of "Mongoloid" on the first page is a valuable one.
