My daughter is a Marine Biologist and currently working at a pearling farm in Broome.
She harvested this 16mm beauty the other day, worth a cool 10k.

Yes, I'd say so especially after she got a 17mm one a couple of days later, but I don't have a pic.
She's at Willie Creek Pearl Farm.

Darwin Airport yesterday arvo...

It's not every day you get to follow out a flight of 4 F-35A's, you could 'feel' them taking off, the noise was phenomenal

And the poor PC-12 doesn't even rate a mention?

I can understand what you mean about the power tho. When I worked out at the Base, our office was located only a short distance from the threshold of the main runway. An F-111 was visiting one night when I was working back, and sat at the threshold warming up for what seemed an eternity. When he powered up, the noise was incredible, as was the shock diamonds in the exhaust when, I assume, he went full afterburner for the takeoff.

A great spot and one of our favourite destinations, got family there to, Last time there we stayed at the Goldridge Resort (now Holiday Inn) with awesome views over Lake Wakatipu, gotta dig out the pics.

Have been there half a dozen times over the years but unfortunately not in the snowy season, next time will do for sure, one thing we always do though is take a trip on the TSS Earnslaw Steamship and spend a day at the Walter Peak Farm, magnificent place.

My recollections of NZ stop at January 1987, so I’ve got “freeze frame” too.

One for you then Tonz, have a look at the Whataroa Town Hall meeting in this article and see how many people are/resemble your relatives.

There is a certain RAAF Base (un-named) near a certain large city (un-named) where you can sit in your car, at the end of the strip all day with a camera, and take as many photos as you like, and feel the tranquility of the take-off to your hearts content, marvelling at the use of your tax-payers Dollars.
