But if I was earning a good rate, hourly rate, then even 4 grand may be feasible, depending on what the Union negotiations were, the current FIFO workers for instance on a 2 on 1 week off are getting paid to sit at home, that to me is disgraceful, but if that's what workers are now then so be it, should be laying flower petals when the Union organiser walks past, and bow down to him, not cry about fees |

Time to get off your horse and read the bit where I said the rep has been reported to the union. It seems they are not happy Jan. |

I have no idea what is wrong with today's young workers, just do ya job, pay your dues and pick up a big fat cheque at the end of the week, no complaining unless it's about site safety! |

They don't get paid for the week off.

Another thread that was created as a bit of fun has been wrecked by the usual.
The idea of the thread by the OP was to post up what you hated and either agree or disagree. It wasn't created to carry on like tools. slowsnake, my patience is wearing very thin. If you are going to PM me think long and hard about what you want to say - your future on AFF may depend on it. Here is a reminder... Quote:

Why is it when someone pays for a skip bin, scumbags reckon they can put their cr#p in it.
I had someone put tyres in mine a couple of years ago, a big no no, so it becomes my problem. Building site around the corner is chockers. Stupidly, they ordered one just before Christmas, no builders on site for 2 weeks, everyone has loaded their Christmas rubbish in it, overflowing all over the ground, TV boxes, empty packaging, paint tins bags and bags of rubbish piled high, just annoys me.

A mate of mine was working on a domestic site years back. Skip delivered on friday. Monday morning it was packed with thick black bags containing asbestos. The company had to pay for proper asbestos disposal and the skip company charged for disposal of the skip and a new replacement skip. So some lowlife pulled a proper scummy move.

Geez I hate it when AirBnB take over all the beach properties in the South West of WA, example January at Smith's Beach for one night, yes its a beautiful property but at $3,168 bucks a night, if you wait until March it's only $2,500 bucks a night, does not say how many people it holds, but it's quoting that that the January price is a discount for January?.....$3,168 bucks is a discount, seems that greed has no boundaries!

It's an old thread where I first mentioned it.
And yes, looks like it only needs a few bits and pieces to make it good again. Then sell it to some hipster/LGBTQRST for big $$$$. I'd hate for it to go to the scrappers. |

Clients/Customers who don't pay their invoices!
One newish client, a very successful IT provider, is three months behind payments. Annoying when I was told "we want it to look great".

Now, only because i was good mates with my manager at my old workplace, yes some clients would wait to the 11th hour to pay, but in the same token, the company would do the thing. I think its something to do with maximising interest in the bank account. A school mate of mine worked for a subcontractor the company i worked for used and payment was always towards the end of what was legal and near being where legal proceedings can occur.

Followed closely by price negotiators. Had one prospective client harass an existing client for my number for months because she drives past my topiary every day. I finally catch up and look at her garden, and give a price, “can you do it for $xx?” NO! You chased me, I’m doing you a favour fitting you in my schedule. If you want it cheaper, get Barry from gumtree. She caved, but it’s the principle of the thing.

He's all good, leesa. Spoke to him via text the other day after you raised the point that he was MIA. He's just taking a break from the forums for a bit.
