Tbh ive driven a couple of vn v6s and they do have a lot more low down grunt than an eb/d falcon lol
Have at one stage contemplated getting a cheap Lexcen and replacing the 3.8 Buick with a proper flagship Toyota motor of that era: the mighty 2JZ-GTE I6. Apparently it has been done and fits into that engine bay (VN to VS) with minimal fuss, as Holden originally planned to install the VL's Nissan RB motor until the exchange rate made it unviable.

Yep there are a few of those conversions done (Utes mainly I think) and there is a Green Lexcen with a 2JZ that runs 8's (or 9's) as a drag car with a full chassis/etc done...
