Brought up with Consuls & zephyrs o'seas as a boy, then my dad worked for a dealer here in Aus and I used to get picked up from school in galaxies , XR fairmonts and Gts and loved them all. Once I discovered Allan George Moffat , XW GTs I was well and truly hooked and haven't missed being at a Bathurst since.
Not forgetting Dick Johnson and JB , couldn't imagine anything but a blue oval being in the driveway , wherever they may be built. GT450 |

I grew up driving around with my dad in XD & XF falcons and a mental MK2 Ford Escort. Endless fun-times where had in that little blue ford escort, sliding sideways, doing donuts, just generally driving around and working on it with him.
We occasionally watched the V8 supercars but not all that often as he is more into the moto GP. Dad would always say "One day your first car will be one of these Falcons", as I am only 19 it an AU that he had proclaimed that i would one day own. The shape and sound that these cars made had me hooked. Also the sheer amount of them at the time reiterated the statement that "One day your first car will be an AU". Without Dad's wise words and guided ideas, who knows i might be driving around in some horrible bloody front wheel drive jap car. And what do you know! My first car IS an AU2 XR6 tickford..... AND I LOVE IT. |

I don't bleed blue - I like the Ford 6's and the Holden v8's, up tip the SC 5.0 ;)
I'd rather be in an E60 M5 - but alas don't have the cash so a XR6T will do for now. |

To be honest I have no idea how I still bleed blue.
Warranty claims are painful. Dealers treat you like crap. After service care is negligible. They don't stand behind ANY of there products, just a case of "Oh, first one I've heard of do that". They don't advertise anything. However, there cars really are the best of the lot. In each segment its hard to find a better car for the money. I guess whilst I have no faith in the dealership and after service care or service departments, I love the cars they produce. Maybe its just a case of a great company being let down at the end of the line where people have the only contact with the company. If I didnt like the cars so much, and I my first experience was with FOH at Ford Aus, I wouldnt buy one. If I wanted someone to care, and be listened to, Id go elsewhere.

Can't say I bleed blue since I like a number of different cars, but Ford is up there as one of the top.
I just saw Fords driving around and thought "hmm, I quite like them" Never really been into Bathurst, never has any family member own or work at Ford like many here do. |

Hate Holdens. Hate the attitude Holden owners have towards fords. Hate the look of Holdens. Hate the engines. Hate the Chev badges. Hate the fact that Holden fans just have no idea how much better nearly every Falcon is.

My dad had a near new XB Falcon 500 and my uncle had a HQ holden, and even though I was around 5 years old I just thought the falcon looked so much better, plus a lot of my cousins had GT Falcons and once you get taken for a ride in an XB GT coupe there's no turning back, in fact I could never understand why someone would buy a holden over a GT, to me the GT Falcon will always be King of the road.
