Last weekend the Phillip Island 6 hour was held. AFF had a presence there in the form of Tight-*** Racings EF Falcon.
Had a great weekend and out of a field of 50 teams we managed to come in at 20th which is a huge effort considering the other competition that was their. Was organised by the Coupe Club of Australia (didn't run our coupes!) and is a great way to get into motor sports. Join a club and get involved Just a big thanks to those (and there were many) who helped to organise Of course most of the kudo's go to Craig and Lindsey who did an outstanding job in getting everyone organised, doing all the running around and making sure everyone was where they should be, when they should be. Almost felt guilty (almost ) that we did the driving and chatting and relaxing while they did the hard bits! Without them it would not have been as successful as it was. Of course there was a multitude of members who also turned up and helped massively with timing, standing out in pit lane in the sunshine manning the boards. We had someone to wave to as we went past ant 200 plus K's! Also lunch was ready and waiting with sausages, coffee and tea and also brekky!!!! So just a big thanks from us (the drivers) to the rest of the team. Can't name them all as I dont want to miss anyone ...... you know who you are. DAMN it was cold ....... but after a few laps I could turn the heater down. Cheers and thanks ..... The EF ..... Tight-*** Racing at its finest and did well. Over 200kph down the straight at Phillip Is in the wet ..... 50 cars on the grid. We started at position 35 ........ which was closer to Cowes than the starting line! Wet and cold!!!! Action during practice The team ... we had 5 cars.

Phillip Island- Gateway to Hypothermia!(Barry Sheene)
All makes sense now. A mate was there with Team Mini(9th placed) and he sent me some photos of the EF with the Clevo Mafia and AFF stickers on it. Cheers, Dave

Saw the mini team. Think they were team '1'. I remember as I think I drove over a couple! Hard to see them on the track!

We were going to go, but couldn't get enough drivers / cars to confirm quick enough, it fills quick, we had the numbers up until entries opened then 2 pulled out, so we pulled the pin on it. maybe next year.
You blokes should do the Sandown 6 Hour, it is awesome, a really laid back event, ran by the Porsche blokes, they are a great group. We have pulled the pin on the Winton 6 Hour, the Alfa people are far too **** and their rules are going to kill the event
