I looked at CF wheels at the Melbourne motor show last year, these things are awesome. I could pretty much lift the wheel with one finger!
WOFTAM for daily duties, but for track days, I have a set in a heart beat.

Just as a side note...Citroen manufactured a c/f wheel for the Citroen SM series back in the mid 1970's.
They trialled the product on the rally cars and then offered it for sale. There were few takers since the cost was huge and there were doubts about tyre places being able to fit replacement tyres with out damaging the wheels. Eventually the company's creditors took charge and scrapped the whole project since it was losing a fortune which Citroen could not afford to do. Peter. |

There was a lightweight 4 spoke steel rim that turned up at SEMA a few years ago. Don't know if it got of the ground.
A lot of the carbon wheels that I've seen (Uni racers) have aluminium hubs. Strong where it needs to be.
