Sorry, you gets what you pays for. Quoted US$250, paid US$750 for a full bodykit? I'm afraid he was seen coming a mile away.

Bloody hell! I did a better job installing the kit on my car! And mine is pressure pack (except front bar) with a glued up side skirt. That is disgraceful

Yeah saw this on one of the Mazda forums,
There are heaps of photos and a bit of reading but worth having a good look at. I love the pics of the sill inside the door, where a whole bunch of self tappers have been used to hold it on, absolutely disgusting. Cheers M |

Sure it sounded like a too good to be true option, which you could explain by the crappy paint job, but doesn't explain the damage (eg, where tha jack has dinged the door) or the wood, or the bad screws etc......... I noticed there's no resolution yet......

That was just ridiculous. Absolutely pathetic. Theres no excuse for that kind of work, considering the way he also ignored all the questions and made these promises that it would be done properly.
Besides all the runs and orange peal, I can't believe the kit was painted ON the car! Over spray everywhere too. Also FrogInASock, if you are going to comment make sure you read it mate.

I thought that the fitment of part of my body kit was bad, hell it looks like factory Ferrari campared the that. $250 preped and fitted for a lip kit is cheap but not too cheap.

Nissan offer the "Nismo" kit in Australia for the 350Z. It has a big "GT" style wing etc and I have seen a few around with it fitted. For me it looks just a bit to fast and furious. I have even gone off personalised number plates for the moment. But I suspect the victim of that mess should have gone in with both eyes open after all he has no one to blame but himself. |

I always laughed at riced up cars thinking that people who did that sort of quality work themselves . Now I feel sad that people actually pay someone to destroy their cars. Probably dropped the value of the car by $1000s

I Loved the random placement of the wood screws!!!!
Why anyone would put aftermarket "tuppaware" on a new car is beyond me...

that is unbelievable, i cant believe the body shop thought that could be a standard, that the owner would be happy with.
Unless the owner was a 90+ yo with severe vision impairment, noone would accept that. I really feel for that owner, i wouldnt know what to do but cry. |

You know what they say; "Live and learn".
Luckily for the owner he didn't get the same shop to work on any mechanicals on the car or it could have ended far worse...
