I had a ride in a Sliver Service cab the last time I went to Sydney. Also before I went down there, another Sliver Service Fairlane had a massive crash. I saw on the news, the right rear wheel was pushed right up into the rear seat and they also said on the news that someone was actually sitting there.

Just yesterday, a cabbie was repsonding to something..not looking ahead..at the last minute i had to yell at him as the traffic had stopped ahead..lucky no one was in next lane...i almost became theback passanger of the Corolla he would have inserted the Falcon into..
I would have asked him to stop, I would have got out and refused to pay. Get his number and report him. I do.

Some of the taxi drivers around are simply atrocious - I almost got cleaned up on my bike by one last week. Traffic had stopped and I see this taxi flying up behind so I rode up onto the verge and lucky I did because he ran up the back of the car I was behind.

Have you ever been to Melbourne? A lot of them are downright dangerous.

Or he confused the wiper stalk for indicators - no that can't be right, its a taxi, indicators are optional

This guy would still rate as one of the better cabbies in Sydney.

Years ago I was in Darwin, Caught a Cab from Fanny Bay into Darwin and was rather surprised by some of the speeds we were doing on the way there but the woman driving seemed pretty compitent (although she was whinging all the way about the fact they were just about to introduce laser guns in Darwin).

On the way home that night we were in a fairlane with the huge digital readout on the dash, 107km/h in a 60 zone. After we bounced off a gutter I asked the bloke to slow down, After the 3rd gutter I told him that if he didn't stop the car I was going to smash his head into the window as I thought the car would be safer with him unconcious.

Walked back to the Motel I was staying in and had the cops turn up about my refusal to pay the Fare. I still can't believe that this bloke couldn't see anything wrong with the service provided. Anyhow I told the copper my version of events which they weren't surprised at one bit, Told them to go back and check the gutter rash on the Cars rims and explained that I would fight it in Court if this bloke pressed charges.

The coppers came back a couple of hours later and told me that there would be no charges Laid against me and the Cabbie no longer had a Licence. Turns out he was involved in an accident that night and was way over the Blood Alcohol limit too.
