Cool What do you think of these stripes? (my Fez)

Hey Guys, i was at my mates the other day and he has a vinyl plotter so we ended up making these stripes for my Fez.

I wasn't sure if i'd like them so we only made enough for the bonnet as a trial and being a trail they're not on perfectly straight either, it was just to get an idea...
I do like them but i'm not 100% on them yet. If i was to keep them i'd have them over the roof and down the back tailgate too.. but i dont think i'd have them down the bumpers... I didnt want the ST type of stripes soley because of the XR4 coming out, i just wanted something a little different too

The car is lowered and has zetec-S sill covers and other than the stezza (still in progress) it's otherwise stock.
I'm hoping to get the windows tinited very soon (20% all round) and some mags for it soon too.
I want ROH Stradas ( i think they just look perfect on these cars for some reason) but i'm having trouble finding them :-(

Anways your thoughts, good or bad are welcome :-)

I reckon the stripes can look good. I'd move them a bit to the left (~5cm or so). You should also get black rims along with the stripes

Keep us posted with the mods.

Thanks for the feedback Ivan
I was thinking of trying them over a little too, maybe 25mm to start with as I think 50mm would be too central for that sort of stripe. The curves on the bonnet where they currently are make them hard to fit straight too so putting them in a bit would help with that.

I'd consider dark grey rims but not black, they just get lost in those huge arches :-)

Lookin' very cool - the black stripes are a nice contrast to the orange.

Dark grey rims would be spot on. If you wanted to go the full 'boy racer' look, white rims would be pimp!

Sorry Ivan, I'm not a huge fan of black wheels :

How much have you lowered the car by?

Yeah its Colorado Red, it always looks orange in photos when the sun is lower in the sky for some reason.

As for the ride height, the front is down about 35mm and the rear is a few mm more on top of that.

Ah i see what you mean now.. the pics i found from the google search were on a WQ and had a much more softer looking version of the stripes (aqua)..

Theres a big difference in where they have mounted these two...
this one is only 10mm off of where mine is http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ce17lowrez.jpg

and this one is much more central.
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...sfront3low.jpg

Mine also has the small part to the outside of the car, which i like more for some reason, but it would be easier to mount them on the front bumper the way that wolf has done. I think i'm leaning towards moving it in a bit now, seeing those two different ones side by side makes the more "central" one look tuffer.

I could also have a ford logo or something else cut out of the stripe in the same way they have done the "wolf" logo What do you think?

Well i've decided i'm going to move it over a little, but i'm alo going to make the big section about 10mm narrower and the thin stripe about 5mm narrower. Not sure when i'll get around to doing it though. I'll post up some pics when i get around to it though.

Hi all......i am thinking of getting the stripes but will go with the ones down the middle though the gt stripes look great also. I am undecided on black or white stripes. Would anyone have any pics of a colorado red with the black middle stripes or is combination not popular? Just to see before i decide which colour to go with.

Cheers.

Dave.

Most middle stripes will be on XR4, and Colorado Red only was available with white stripes.
