Default Focus duratec engine swap

Hi first time posting, can't find a definite answer in the search.

I have a focus 2006 2.0l duratec that I need to replace.
I'm struggling to find a decent one from an Ls/Lt. I've seen a couple from an LV 2009 2010 which have a duratec engine. All the suppliers say it's not compatible.

The only difference I see is the newer ones don't have the camshaft position sensor on the top of the valve cover. Is it they don't have one if so can I tell my ecu to ignore that it's gone , or is it just in a different place and can I extend the wires to fit .

If anyone can help please
