Default Reverse camera has died....

Howdy, I purchased an ASL "BA712" reverse camera kit back in May 2011... which I fitted into the tailgate of my BF2 Falcon Wagon. A couple years ago it started to play up, as it would stop working for a while... then work again... on & off etc... then one day it just died. I still get a blank screen when I put the Wagon into reverse.. so I'm assuming it's the camera which has failed (perhaps due to the shock, when the tailgate gets shut??).

Do you still have these cameras ? If so... can I get a replacement ?

I cut the Wagon's tailgate spear to fit the camera into it... so my preference would be a direct replacement, so I don't have to replace the tailgate spear again.

Thanks, Dhru

Ditto - mine packed it in to a couple of years ago. I should have followed it up then but I'll add this to yours if that's ok.

Howdy,

I ordered a replacement BA712 reverse camera (just the camera, not the whole kit) from you guys the other day... and it has turned up in the post (thanks for that).... however.... this camera's cable differs from the original I purchased from you 4yrs ago... in that it has a relatively short cable with a plug on it... where the old one has a cable that was hard wired to the camera, and went all the way to a plug in the unit under the dash.

Obviously I will now need to order the other "half" of this cable... but it might pay to keep that in mind, if someone is in need of replacing some of the original gear

Cheers,
Dhru
