Question iPod booster/charger install

Hi,

I recently bought your iPod booster/charger kit for the Ford BA Falcon
but am having trouble installing it.

I have plugged in the 6 pin auxiliary connector and the 4 pin power
connector but can't see where the 4 pin (female) connector plugs into.

The iPod plays music but won't charge (with switch in either position).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi. The unused 4 pin connector is only used if there was something plugged into the ford plug to start with or to give you some where to plug a phone/bluetooth/rear entertainment system in to later. Cheers MD

Thanks for the reply Michael.

I thought that may be the case with the unused plug, so I'm guessing a faulty cable from ASL is the reason for the charger not working?

Cheers

Hi all,

So on the weekend I finally got around to installing my iPod into the car and hooking it up to the ASL cable.

It worked well for 2 days ... until the fuse for the charger blew again.

I tried a couple of new fuses, but they would blow as soon as I flicked the switch for the charger.

Oh well, I can still use the cable for sound (without charging), or so I thought ... now the only sound I get is a feint crackling noise, in beat with the song being played.

Any ideas on what's going on here?

Cheers
