Judging by the plates you are from the Land of the Kiwi!
Very nice work so far Is it going to be all black or will you do silver highlights as well? Awesome work on those front guards What was she originally? tell us more, factory engine, colour, trim and gearbox Sorry for all the questions but love these cars mate |

Hey guys
She was originally a 6cyl falcon 500 but has been repowered with a relatively mild 302c Not sure on what specs she came out with as over the years the plates had been lost and just before i bought her it was completley revined and put back on the road Its going black on the main body with gunmetal gray highlights in the gt style. Luckily for me the body was completely free of rust as the owner before me had taken all that out but the body was in really rough shape!! My panelbeater is a dead set legend as you can see in the pics!! that finish is straight off the gun and still needs a buff yet. So i'm confident that the rest of the body will look as good, Which he should be painting this weekend Its been off the road for awhile so i'm really hanging out to get her back on the road and go cruising!! Hopefully when its done it will look half as good as some of the coupes on here!! |

Bit of a strange way of painting it .Is it for any type of reason .
The guards do look great clear over base black always looks nice until it gets dirty |

It looks unusual to me but in no way inferior .I only asked as a painter as I like to see what and why other painters do things as its a great way to expand my own skills and knowledge . |

Oh ok sweet mate lol I honestly would have no idea about the paint side of things, I tell ya what though my painter/panelbeater is doing a brilliant job as she was in pretty rough shape before he started plus he's only charging me 4g for the whole panel and paint including materials which i think is a pretty sharp deal considering he's stripped 80% of the car back to bare!!

Can't remember the coupe that this reminds me of from Street Machine years ago, but i remember the comment in the article about how unforgiving black gloss is on a car like this, yours looks absolutely amazing!!
