Anyone know where I can get a set? Or does anyone have any they'd like to sell? (or any 4x108 wheels for that matter!)
Cheers

X2
I had a set on my old Fiesta Zetec, sold the car with them on thinking that I'd just go and buy a new set ..... only to find out they don't make them like that anymore! ROH have changed the design to some "ugly horrible looking things" with immitation studs around the inside lip ... YUK!! Really wish I had kept my old ones now. |

I'm pretty sure I saw the older style in the window of Bob Jane's at Blakehurst in Sydney the other day. I bought mine there last year at a good price.

The "new model" Strada is a 3 piece cast wheel, no 17" size, no 4x108 PCD and prices start at around $850 each for an 18" wheel .... : The price didn't sound right to me .... but I'm only telling ya what he told me? For the record ROH no longer make any wheels at all in a 4x108 PCD. |

Aren't they the 3 piece modular wheels? Surely you could specify both the PCD and offset - for a price.

I was even considering phoning the middle aged lady I sold my Zetec to and ask her if she wanted to swap wheels + cash adjustment .... think I might give it a go. ROH Stradas = HOT!! I still can't believe ROH discontinued them ... as Clarkson would say ... "what were they thinking?" |

I should post up pics, shouldn't I? Here's a pic that my brother took the day he got them, haven't taken any others since.
Jeez, I now understand what this whole modding craze is about. You get one thing and it leads on to a whole list of others. Now I want to get the car lowered, but I'll leave that to my brother as he'll be getting the car soon. On the topic of wheels/tyres, what do people find are good tyre pressures for 17s? I've tried 40F 38R and the car understeers early then grips midcorner, and is very sensitive to throttle oversteer. I prefer it to grip early and then be able to throttle oversteer mid corner..if that makes sense. I was going to experiment with other pressures but the pump was broken and also I hardly drive the car now.

Put my new Strada's on yesterday, they look great ..... but forget about the wheels .... "what about these tyres!"
OMG, first impressions are that they would have to be the smoothest, quietest best handling tyre for the money I have ever driven on! .... and far better than other far more expensive brands I have tried in the past. If anyones in the market for new tyres I would strongly recommend you at least consider the Maxxis MA-V1 tyres! I have done a bit of research over the net since getting them, anyone that has tried them only has very positive reviews of them and have got very good mileage out of them ... of course only time will tell on that front. I got them as a package with the Strada's, effectively paying $100 each for them, the normal price for them in 205/40R17 size is $166 each (as quoted by local Bob Jane store yesterday)..... far cheaper than the $360 I was quoted for the Pirelli P Zero Nero's! The car is totally transformed, it just feels smoother, more responsive, more agile somehow, I always thought it felt rather "heavy" or "overloaded" with the Pirelli's but with these new tyres it's just as it should be! ... how much of this can be attributed to the wheels of course I dont know, I'm not sure if the Strada's actually weigh any less than the stock wheels? ... don't think there would be much in it. Only thing I don't like about the tyres is that they don't have a lip protector on them to guard the edge of the rim against gutter scrapes etc, I'll just have to be extra carefull. I'll give them a good run over the next few weeks and see how they go but at this early stage ..... I'm sold! |

I have the same wheels, same tyres. Never had any problems with grip, the car handles like a go kart. Just clicking over 20,000km on the tyres, should last another 20K. Wifey has done her best to gutter bash all the rims tho, boo hoo.
