they will get us in the last round - remember 1997, the crows lost form at the perfect time and gained it an even more perfect time

Thats hilarious.

Anyone who thinks the Crows will even make it past the first round of the finals let alone make the eight is delusional.

Yep the Crows will be there just there to make up the numbers if they get into the finals! Cats back to back an almost certainty.

like last year, there is only one side that can beat geelong

i just wish it would reign cats and dogs, but i am dreaming

They'll make the eight. They're a good enough team for that. They might even make the second round of finals if they are damn lucky.
Having said that, as a Crows supporter, there is no way they'll make the grand final. That will be either a Geelong / Hawthorn match, or Geelong / Bulldogs. No one else looks like making the GF to me.

a while to go yet, brisbane lions have a exceptional line up, and should make the 8. They have alot of young talent just gotta start playing some hard footy like a few years ago and you watch, the might roar will be back and could upset a few teams.

Lets not be too hasty. hawthorn showed just recently that they can match it with geelong. geelong had a few out but those that were filling in were playing just as good.

if buddy kicks straight they are a real chance.

bulldogs will be there also. 4-8 are just making numbers, not just the crows.

lets not forget also that geelong lost to collingwood and also only beat port by 9 points.

past results and form count for nothing on the big day.

Past results count for nothing on the big day? Well why bring up round 1 and Geelongs only loss for the year? And against the Hawks Geelong had 4 top players out, 5 if you count Chapman who was all but gone for the last half of the match. I don't think we'll ever see a display like last years grand final again, but unless Geelong play either Hawthorn or the Dogs on a good day, I think if any other team fluked it to get to the last day in september, it could be another white wash.

Just one note on that, Hawthorn had no top players out right? Crawford? Dew? Maglyn? Clarke? May as well say Hodge no way was his mind on the game should have been off with the wife giving birth.. Also the 12-4 Free kicks in the first quarter played no role, not to mention the umpiring in general.

On another note about that game.. in all honesty it was one of the crapest games of footy Ive ever watched both teams played like . Dont know how they think it "lived up to the hype"

The emphasis was on "top" players. Crawf? He's a has been. Although a very good has been, he's well past his best. He doesn't have near the impact on games that he used to. I'd really like to see him play his 300th then hang the boots up at the end of the year. Dew? Let's be honest, he's only at Hawthorn because he's Clarko's bum chum. Maglyn? Never heard of mean him so he can't be that good! You don't mean McGlynn do you? Clarke? Yeah I'll give you that one, he's not too bad. But overall, your list of outs do not compare to the impact that Ablett, Wojinsci (spelling), Ling and Milburn have. Geelong just have a lot of depth which is why they can cover those outs without too much damage done.

As for the game being crap, there was a lot of turnovers. The pressure was emmense all night and I think most of the players felt it. The only way for teams to beat Geelong is to put midfield pressure on them and force them out wide. What that usualy results in is a slow, non-free flowing game which is the opposite to what Geelong play. The most exciting part of the game was when Geelong broke Clarko's Cluster, because it opened the game up which resulted in patches of exciting Footy. I did Feel bad for Hodge, he was definitely not having a good night. He's a great player and very good to watch, but it was an almost cringeworthy effort on his behalf. There's no doubt his mind was elsewhere. But when you're paid half a mil plus, I think you're paid enough to put up with it.

Jeez them things are machines, notice the traction loss at the end of first gear. Imagine what they could do with some grippy tires on a prepped track

Default laps of Mallala in my IP car

My driving is best described as soft the vids a bit boring as we were the only 2 u1600 cars running that round

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRBUMgmuQUw

here another vid of a Audi RS4 doing hot laps round Mallala, the lap times are amazingly close with the rolla.... both around the 1.25 mark to do a lap, the audi is driven by one of audis high performance driving instructors
