Windows on my AU2 are 35% which I believe is the darkest legal here in SA.
They offered me the chance to go darker and stuff, but told me that it could be a waste of money due to defection or cops slashing it.

i have had mine tinted a few times.
1 - T35, darkest legal 2 - T5 over the T35 on the rear doors and back window. Good luck seeing in, even with peoples faces right next to the glass 3 - T15, removed all the tint, after it stuffed up. Very happy with this tint. T35 + T5 As it is now

My windows are tinted and it looks good. I couldn't justify paying for it though to be honest. It just came with it! :

I like the look of a car with tint (looking at it from outside) but find it to dark (even with light tint) to see out of when dark or rainy.

Australia ? No Tint ? WTF?
Seriously in the middle of summer I have seen falcons chew through 25L/100K trying to remove the heat from an untinted car in the city. Not that I really care about fuel consumption - I tint because it looks good ... but you need to keep the outside of the car clean for them to look thier best.

We've had people come in who've had 5% fitted to their 4wd only to find they can't see out the back window at night or they've backed over the kid's bikes or something. I've used a film called EMINM35 on the 'phoon as it's as dark as you can legally go and offers the highest heat reduction (50%) of any legal film on a BA/BF Falcon. It's a non metal film so as not to interfere with the radio reception. It looks particularly good against the Rapid colour. Big AL
