I'm going to buy 1 (one) spinning hubcap for my mothers 68th birthday. If she's good she will get one for christmas and one for mothers day. I know that is only 3 but it's a mitsi anyway. she thinks they "are pretty". I think it is time the 60 - 70 yr olds walked up to the plate and tricked up their 4 cylinder (shopping trolley dented) run-arounds.

They do look good on something like this;
To me, some can pull it off, some can't. But even if they do pull it off, like some people have mentioned here, there are safety breaches (?) and the whole roadworthy scenario.

Big chrome wheels look good on that. Spinners only look good in pieces on the floor after I've just smashed them.

spinning hubcaps look cheap and nasty.
as for people who say spinning rims are stupid and pointless, they are no more stupid or pointless than any other visual mod or even a thread about spinning rims being stupid!

Personally, if you are in an accident and you blame the spinners on the other car you must be a ****** driver. Waa waa waa, his wheels looked like they were still moving, boo f$#@en hoo. get over it. they are a fad, look good on some cars, look crap on others. it's like a bull terrier, hate it or love it. i saw some on a XR8 this morning, i must say it looked good, he was also part of a popular ford club. i think there are much more worse things to sook about than bloody wheels that seem to mystify everyone by spinning while stopped. worse thread ever. why not ban fox tails on aerials, or anything that atracts attention. GET OVER IT!

ilie down? lie down? hehehe, nah it won't catch on here, but it is massive in america and europe. i think australia just gets a little threatened when something foreign/different comes here that could be better than what we have.

Sure, some people love 'em and if that's what floats your boat, good on you. But I think my opinions on them are clear, and I shall continue to shake my head in disgust whenever I see them.

And yes, they are in the US. I would imagine they are on big, black pimpmobiles! Yeah thats sooooo attractive... I reckon we should just follow and all drive pimp cars with big 22 inch shiny spinning wheels just like all the rappers and pimps over there.... Being massive in the US is a good reason to avoid them here, if nothing else... I dont think they have won any fans over here for their styling generally, such as the Taurus and countless other pig dog cars... seems their taste extends to their wheels! *me goes hopes not to have nightmares tonight about a Taurus with 22 inch spinning wheels*....

Shaquille O'Neil has committed sacrilege by putting those on his Lambo. It is his car, yes. He can do what he likes, yes. But thats just a case of having more money than taste. More is not always better. I do agree, they do suit some cars though. But the cars they suit are probably dog ugly as well....

surely there must be SOMETHING that deserves it to have a go at spinners are just like everything else, if they are done right they look great. if they are done by a bogan, they look terrible.
