Looked at those Fiats some years ago at an Italian car day. Looked under the hood, there was nothing in it but this tiny little east west engine not much bigger than my wife's sowing machine. Couldn't see how much could go wrong it was pretty basic in there. There is Mg 3 and Mitsubishi Mirage.

I would take a punt on one if there was a dealer on the Gold Coast but it closed down. Now down to between Vw Polo and Mazda 2 Sedan. I know the dsg auto can be an issue but if Polo come in cheaper than Mazda it would swing to Vw. However if the Mazda I’d not dearer I d just go Mazda for perceived reliability. Swift and a Fabia no stock and Swift maybe a bit small. |

My wife has a Suzuki and she loves the thing.
Very reliable and good amount of dealers in QLD. Only things we have done is as per service schedule and it Ticks along like a clock. Give them a go and see what she thinks. They only make small to medium cars so they seem to make them well.

Just to close.
We went base 70 tsi Vw polo on novated lease 12500 kms year should see the dsg last at least 7 years! Magnetic orange Goodbye to the last Ford a 2012 Fiesta. We ll sell that privately. The power shift is a bit nosy at idle so may have to see my local Ford dealer for a reflash and early tranny oil change in a bid to make it more sellable if that’s a word. It’s done 101000 in 8 years the front end is a bit noisy over bumps new shocks? Or just the tyre pressures back to factory settings? |

Congrats on that. We're considering a VW Polo for the middle daughter - she's learning to drive and saving for her first car. Likes the look of the Polo.
On the Mazda 2, we bought a base Neo sedan (auto) 4 and a half years ago for the elder daughter. Great little car, hasn't really missed a beat and done about 120,000km. We're down to one Ford now, just the Escape - another great vehicle that we're very happy with! All the best with the Polo, would be good to get some initial impressions from you once you take delivery. Cheers,

Nope, our Escape is the superseded model; early 2017. It’s a Trend with Tech Pack and power tailgate. I had an order in for an Escape Vignale since last December but date kept being pushed back. I ended up canceling and sold my Mustang for a lot more than the trade-in price which I thought wasn’t too bad in the first place.
Happy Motoring!

Thats an interesting proposition.
3k for a 2014 Fiat 500 with 200000kms. Me thinks too risky! Yeah wife picks up Polo tomorrow. (novated lease thus no trade) Now have to get her old car sorted for sale. 2012 Fiesta. Crashing over the slightest bumps off to an Indy on Thursday shocks maybe or engine mount the local Ford dealer thought when I chatted to them. Should I buy 4 new hubcaps (3 have lost their gloss and turned white!) and a new rear Ford badge which someone stole -$250 from Ford for 4 hubcaps and a Ford badge. No Ford wreckers where I live, |

The hubcaps will come up fine with a rattle can of paint.
