Hi, I need to change a front shock in my 08 G6e turbo with factory 19inch rims. Does anybody happen to know a part no. Either Monroe or kyb? I'm having a bit of trouble, I think they are different to standard fg as the car sits lower. Cheers

VE at the time was more linear, since then we have seen a change in the development of high power turbos and there power delivery.

Twin turbo VE SS *yawn*. A twin engined Hyundai would be more interesting. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...-off-10s-video

Better setup, that was designed for it. Or one of the original Porsche 911 Turbos. Anyone can have horsepower, you only need the money. To have something that is drivable is a whole other story. If you're dead set on a VE for whatever reason, I'd be more inclined to buy a nice stock Clubsport that hasn't been flogged and get it done myself. Too many boy racers out there.

His is compound boosting which will eliminate most of the lag, which should make them much more street friendly. Brilliant setup imho.

Mine hasn't missed a beat since turbos were installed back in 2008. Only problems I've had are from the oil scavenge pump, which I've replaced a couple of times. Same clutch, same box, same diff (with stronger mounting rubbers). As long as you have a degree of mechanical sympathy it will live a long life.
It drives just like a stocker until you put your foot down, then all hell breaks loose.

Have been a passenger in my friends VF single turbo R8 wagon, 430rwkw, boost comes on unbelievably hard around 2700rpm and the turbo spool is insane, bags up the rear tyres in 3rd and has 12inch wheels on it. Look up RTLM hsv wagon on google and it should come up.

If built properly a turbo V8 is much pretty bullet proof.. We sort f raced my old EBXR8 turbo against the FG GTE .. Yes the the auto GT puts power down nice .. But the turbo'soon recover.. 7.8 compression on the 330 Windsor and manual doesn't help.. if it was 9.2 and 8 to 12 Lb boost it would have far better throttle response.. But near 500 RWKW V 300 RWKW or there abouts.. V8's rev SOOO freely with forced induction way more so.. EB is much lighter.. Also gets from 80 to 240 kph pretty quick .. The GT is faster to 80 kph.. Load and spool get the turbo's working..

That's interesting. I LOVE e series Falcons. I was so sad when I sold my old el xr8. An e series twin turbo would be great.
