While I'm waiting for info on buying a MC Mondeo ( see previous post )
 .............waiting waiting  One of the cars I'm considering is missing the owners manual and only has one key . Could anybody advise where is the best and most cost effective place to source replacements .........eBay ? Last edited by lgc67; 20-06-2016 at 06:07 PM. |

Get the place selling it to throw them in or no deal, if you had to pay then tell them you'll go halves and have both keys coded together (which is normal anyway).

Three years ago I paid
Key blank from Ford dealer: $166 Cut by locksmith: $37 Programmed by dealer: $50 i.e $253 to replace 2nd key Just Google for the manual and download pdf Last edited by rondeo; 20-06-2016 at 06:33 PM. Reason: addition |

Thanks for that info . We haven't bought the car yet , made an offer but no deal so far . They will supply a owners manual but won't do anything on the key .

FYI you can download owner's manuals in PDF direct from Ford at https://www.ford.com.au/owner
It's handy to have a searchable text version, and you might like to start reading it before you pick up a car. If you find anything noteworthy you might even like to join our critique thread
