I have see all of the FF movies.

Car did not behave the same way as a neon coloured rice burner in a movie - definitely the manufacturers fault.

Car is meant to blow up 3 seconds after they get out.

Yeah that's what I meant. It will be settled privately before it goes to court even though realistically she deserves nothing. It's a tragedy but he chose to drive like that...

Why do you say that? He was driving at high speed on public roads and crashed. As a result, he tragically died. Who (in your opinion) is to blame?

He wasn't driving, he was a passenger. His friend roger rodas was driving.

She can't sue the one directly responsible cos he's just as dead as her dad, so she's going after the next in line.

I'm well aware that Walker wasn't actually driving the Porsche at the time of the crash however he and Rodas had been co-driving the car that day. Both of them were well known to drive like idiots on public roads. If you drive like that often enough, it will catch up on you.

The car was not at fault. Therefore Walker's daughter does not deserve a cent from Porsche, at the end of the day it was driver error. She wants somebody to blame - a dead man is to blame.

This is unfortunately so true.

Why don't you read my previous post. They were both driving at high speed that day and they both crashed (since they were in the car together).

Porsche blames Paul Walker for his own death

Paul Walker is to blame for his fatal car crash, according to Porsche, the company being sued over his death.

In September, Meadow Walker, Paul's daughter, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, claiming that when the Carrera GT crashed and broke apart, Paul's seat belt "snapped" his torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis, and trapping him in the passenger seat.

Meadow's suit, filed by her lawyers, claims the fire didn't erupt for 1 minute and 20 seconds after impact, but Paul was helplessly trapped. She believes that her father was still alive when the fire broke out.

Paul died on Nov. 30, 2013.

According to TMZ, Porsche isn't buying that explanation. In an answer to the lawsuit, the car company said Paul was "a knowledgeable and sophisticated user of the 2005 Carrera GT" and it implied that he shouldn't have allowed the driver of the car, Roger Rodas, to drive so fast (police said speeding was the cause of the crash.)

Porsche also took issue with allegations that the car's design was defective, saying the car was "misused and improperly maintained" because it was "abused and altered."

Meadow and her team basically believe the car is brutally defective and unsafe for the road and think Porsche knows that.

Legally and technically, she should be suing the estate of Rodas as he was the driver and if the vehicle has been modified, then Porsche will win.

I just stubbed my toe on the couch. Quick! Call the lawyer! I'm going to sue the wretched tree that this couch leg came from!

I'd like to see any other car travelling at 140 clicks hit a tree and concrete pole at that angle, and see if it was the seatbelt's fault that killed the driver on impact, then crushed the bones and trapping the passenger.

So, we obviously need to find the person who planted the tree or erected the pole as they are surly to blame

You can't blame the tree, that will get the greenies on your back. Clearly whoever put the road there is to blame.

Daughter of Paul Walker received $10M settlement from driver of car in fatal wreck

Paul Walker's daughter received a nearly $10-million settlement from the estate of the driver of the car involved in the fatal wreck that killed the actor in 2013.
(Associated Press)

James Queally
The Los Aneles Times
8 April, 2016

The daughter of "The Fast and The Furious" star Paul Walker reached a $10.1-million settlement with the estate of the man driving the car her father died in three years ago, court records show.

The estate of Roger Rodas, a longtime friend of Walker's who was driving the Porsche Carrera GT the two men died in after a wild 2013 crash, agreed to place more than $7.2 million in a trust for Walker's teenage daughter, Meadow, according to terms of a settlement that was reached in November 2014.

Nearly $2.9 million was set aside for legal fees, records show.

Walker was on a break from filming the seventh installment in the "Furious" series when he and Rodas decided to drive away from a charity event in Valencia on Nov. 30, 2013. Investigators said the vehicle was traveling at least 90 mph when it smashed into several trees and a concrete light pole on Hercules Street. Both men died within seconds.

It was unclear why the terms of the settlement became public this week. Walker's name is not mentioned in the court filings. Meadow, who was a juvenile at the time the order for settlement was granted, is listed as "Meadow W." in the court filings.

Meadow Walker and Rodas' widow, Kristine, have filed wrongful death suits against Porsche, claiming various design flaws or mechanical failings led to the crash. Investigators with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol both ruled that speed was the main factor in the wreck, but the lawsuits contend the vehicle was traveling slower than police indicated.

A judge threw out Rodas' suit earlier this week. An attorney representing Meadow Walker said Friday that news of the settlement with Rodas should have no effect on her pending suit against Porsche.

"Through his estate, Mr. Rodas, the driver of the car, took partial responsibility for the crash, which Paul Walker would have survived," attorney Jeff Milam said in a statement. "Our lawsuit on behalf of Meadow against Porsche AG -- a $13-billion corporation -- intends to hold the company responsible for producing a vehicle that was defective and caused Paul Walker's death."

In a response filed last year, Porsche said Walker was responsible for his own death, claiming the vehicle was misused and improperly maintained.

Hello,

Actors pretend to be racers, most are not. Same as a rich dude that buys a sports Car. That is why there are stunt drivers. Most Actors have bigger Ego's than their driving skill-set.
