As I am new to BA Fairmonts I need to ask another question about the operation of my new car. Being a Fairmont Ghia it has just about every conceivable option that I would want.
Now there are a set of what I would call driving lights under the front bumper. I have read the owner's manual from cover to cover and the only thing I can find are instructions for under bumper fog lights. There doesn't appear to be any switch to turn these lights on - can someone tell me how to operate these lights, which are definitely not the fog lights mentioned in the owner's manual.e |

The lights you are talking about are not driving lights, they only come on when your headlights are on, and you turn one of your indicators on. They are meant to light up the curb of the corner....

There was a recall for the under bumper lights on BA Fairmont. Something to do with not complying to a ADR standard or something. Was disconnected by Ford untill the new lights were in if I remember correctly.
Take it to your nearest Ford dealer. Should fix it for you no charge, as it's a recall.
