Hi Ozzy,

I have the airbox on my FG XR8; It seals to the bonnet (No lid).

Edit: You can see it in this youtube clip (FG XR8 Crow GTP-X Cams)

Thanks Trance for your help on this one.

The CAI that we currently offer for sale is the same as fitted to our 10 second NA Boss sedan, with the headlight sealed in place as per factory.

We will no longer be selling the old style box but can produce them at purchasers request if required for a show car etc.

Hope this helps

Chris

Is there a price difference? I was going to order the older style with the lid next Tuesday. I know it seals to the bonnet but police around my area can be d***s.

Couldn't see anything about it on your website

Rather then open up another thread guys, mind if I ask what you would recommend as far as cams go for the 260? I have heard that crow cams will give slightly more power gains then the herrod ones.

I asked about 260 cams here... http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11409219
I'm booked in at BluePower on Wednesday to get crow cams in. I'll let you know how it goes.

You will find the crow XR8 cams will be better everywhere over other brands..
There is a lot of issues with some of the cam grinds out there.. some are so bad customers are forced to remove them out of the car to stop hunting, over fuelling and loss of power.

Choose carefully as its a costly mistake. Crow as a manufacturer did all the development on BOSS 260 290 302 and 315, and the KRUPPS billets they use combined with their developed grinds are stable and reliable.

So what's the difference in real world driving and on the track between this style and the old style?

Our new style CAI has the lowest surface area in the engine bay. This give us a massive advantage over all the other CAI's with the heat from the engine being transferred into the CAI.
We noticed with the massive surface area of some CAI's that unwanted heat is entering the airbox. This is not noticed on the dyno as the bonnet is up.
