I just bought a 1957 Dodge Power Wagon and need to get it from Springbrook QLD to Echuca Vic. It's located on top of a hill, a semi trailer won't get into it, needs to be a rigid truck. Ute weight aboit 2.5 tonne and runs and drives no problem. Any recommendations for a carrier?

Quote:
1-Albury-wodonga car carriers 2-CEVA In both cases get a quote. Tell them it needs a rigid to pick it up. Also think about insurance cover. |

Can you have it moved by tilt tray to a car carriers depot so there is no issue with what vehicle can get in there?

I did look at that but it would probably work out more expensive. Also, the less it is run/driven/loaded/unloaded the happier I'll be, I'd much prefer it to be loaded on one truck and stay on it, even if it costs a bit more. For this reason I'll try and stick to a smaller carrier, owner operator type setup.
I've contacted Albury-Wodonga carriers, they look good. CEVA don't seem very keen on older cars and have a few too many rules for my liking, their terms of service could be used to screw the customer over royally.

Look up a few Caravan carriers in Vic, there's quite a few companies that take vans up and go back to Vic either empty or with cars/boats.
Most of these companies are only rigid trucks with a trailer.
