Hope they bring this Down Under... Although a RHD Corvette we will likely never see officially released here, thus we will probably have to settle for Camaro.

Yeap they are awesome, nice alternative to the GT/GT40 and although its not MR it keeps many others very honest.
I dont mind all the variations either, that and the Viper are pretty awesome. Love the C5 shape the most.

I think it a given that Camaro will come here at some stage. I hope so, they look horn on the road.
I visited the Corvette Factory and Museum a few years ago, that was awesome. When you order your Corvette you can actually select to have it put on display at the museum for a little while before you take delivery and then take delivery at the museum. And the museum is awesome, goes way beyond the cars in the exhibits, the stage is set to period with the cars etc. Brilliant.

Sure now, but holden arent going to lose out on this part of the market to the mustang after they stop making the commodore here. The 2017 commodore from what ive read will be a chinese made 4cyl fwd... or at least the possibility of being. Either way its not going to compete with the mustang

Must say, I don't mind Corvettes either. Looked at some C6 Z06's, and C7's last week. They make the Camaro's look kinda average to be honest.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mwkQVY_1jpw If that video's anything to go by, the Z06 should be a monster. Last edited by Motorbreath310; 08-01-2014 at 04:41 PM. |

GM will let Holden burn in hell before they allow them to put Holden badges on the Corvette, I reckon in 5 years they will wind up the Holden brand, replace it with Chevy and then it will be full steam ahead with all Chevy's cars coming to Australia.

Here is what I know so far.
HSV in its current form will not last much past November 2015 . . . Fusion Automotive will be the main player at Clayton and the whole structure will change and downsize Holden will be gone as a manufacturer long before 2017 . . . the Engineering division at Holden inc Lang Lang will cease in 2014 - that's a fact . . . Holden Dealers are going to become GM dealers with the large GM blue logo gracing their Showrooms and a range of other brands to support the corporate look . . . The Holden Logo/Brand will stay for a while with Commodore , Cruze, Colorado & Captiva . . . The Chevy Logo will feature with 3 products inc the Sixth Gen Camaro which will be released soon to the Media . . . expect to see up to 5 Chevy products inc Silverado's . . expect to see Cadillac and one other GM brand feature on the new and revigorised dealership floor. . . . Don't expect to see the HSV logo anywhere in showrooms. Thanks GR |

I saw a thing on tv (or was it YouTube) the other night about corvettes and the American car industry and they spoke to the dude in charge of corvette, and asked if they were planning on corvette to go global to compete with mustang, and his response was something like, 'as long as I'm in charge, there will never be a rhd corvette.'
Of course for all I know, that was his last day at work. |

Agreed. They could have put a supercharged motor in a Corvette and called it anything other than Z06. To me, Z06 is a higher tune N/A engine. Surely they could have worked the LS7 another 100hp with the current revisions that have been applied to the 6.2L in the C7. It wouldn't have been as fast, but what a pure driving machine a 7.0L 600hp N/A RWD car would have been. Oh well, soon well see just about every new car on the market have some form of forced induction.

The vette is far from a daily driver, and you'll need a seeing eye dog to drive/park the camaro from what I've heard.. Stang a top tier coupe, The GT is a winner but hold onto the horses we've still got mach and 350/500 to come 12 months later

AWD can make cars slower if it has sufficient traction with 2wd. Even if there is a little bit of wheelspin in 2wd, it's kind of like cavitation with boats and jet skis. If you are going to have max acceleration, you are going to have some. More importantly, driving two axles uses more power, and is therefore less efficient.
