Big motors regardless of how much technology you apply to them will always use more fuel, or people will think they do. A turbo charged 4 cyl will always be seen as a fuel efficient sporty car by the general public. A 4 litre in line 6 turboed will/and is viewed as a gas guzzling anachronism by most people who pay for the fuel out of their own pockets. The current global Ford stategy, particularly for the global Ford to be 4 cylinder is streets ahead of Holden who seem to be incensed with 6 litre cars. I can't wait to drive a 4 cyl turbo charged falcon. |
