Just watching this show, they are talking about a Daihatsu Charade doing "burnouts" the officer is showing rubber shedding from the back tyre and suggesting that it is evidence of a burnout.
Its kind of embarrasing that this made it to air. A FWD car doing burnouts with its rear tyres......... I have not driven a charade but would doubt its much good for burnouts.

Yeah I thought it was a bit stupid too, it was an auto aswell :
Only idea I could think of that it was trying to do a handbrakie before the accident.

Saying that the charade burn out was surprising.

Yeah I just watched the intial segment...I share your doubt, charades tend to chirp and grip. I wonder if the 3D simulation will show oversteer. The track seems a tad wide too, especially as the car wouldn't be lsd. |

Looks more like the charade was slid up the road side ways from those skid mark man.

I just switched onto that show at the moment where the Senior Constable was looking over the car in the shed. He said "they reported that the car was doing burnouts and as the Charade is a fwd, we will look in the front wheel arches for any evidence".

I knew it wasn't doing burnouts as soon as you could see the distance between the tracks, far too wide even only seeing it on TV. But yeah when she was looking at the rear tyres I was thinking how dumb can you be.
At least the vehicle inspector knew what he was doing, would be pretty shocking if they got that wrong : |
