Default Anniversary of Brock's Death - Nat Road Safety Day

The anniversary of Brock's death is coming up on Saturday September 8th.

In tribute to The Legend and in recognition for what he did for road safety I thought it might be an idea to do a "lights on" when driving on that day.

I'll be doing it. Join in if you wish and pass the info on to your friends, rels or to other clubs.

I'll bump this thread up closer to the day.

Wow, a year already!

I'd definitely do it. Would word get around to enough people though?

We could try. I was thinking of sending a few emails off to radio stations in my area (Gold Coast and south of). If anyone else wants to then go ahead.

Good idea mate. Might do the same. If radio gets word then you could even hope to get a plug of some sort on the news or something similar if enough people are into it.

Good idea. I just did it. I've noticed they have a cruise on too. Will email a few radio stations over the weekend and mention the day and lights on and that some clubs have organised cruises.

Talking about Peter's anniversary, I heard today that the Bathurst Council painted over all the fan's messages around the track because they were an eyesore - is this true??

If it was I would have prefered to see them preserved under a clear coat.

I'll have my lights on that day for sure

And it was also Steve Irwin a couple of days before Brocky. It was a sad time of year last year

Just a reminder that if you are out on the road today and want to show remembrance for Peter Brock and support for Road Safety turn on your lights.
