This is the latest Ford ad in NZ, not riveting but not bad.

There's a radio one going around for the Rodeo at the moment where the voice over (a horse) says something about his job being to pull carts around, but thatr he's being replaced by a rodeo ute. He then says it's ok - cause his boss was really good about it and got him a new job in a factory.. making glue.

Ok I think everyone knows by now the Commodore is European, and Holden are very naughty for trying to pass themselves off as more Aussie, but jeez you don't have to keep on saying it. Anyway I remember that GT ad, with the XY. I loved that. The Territory Turbo eating sports cars for breakfast ad, is also another classic. I've always like the Thunder ads, with AC/DC playing in the background too. |

I love the current BMW ad where the car changes through all the sports sedans from the 60's 2002 to the current model... Also loved the XY/BA GT ad that did the same thing...

Personally i still like the VU SS ute, drought breaker tornado ad. I still like the original BA XR6 ad, with the guy fanging through the mountain valley pass.
But yeah the ads generally suck royal and if i see another god damn renault/nissan ad, im going to go postal, they're ad are the worst ever, renault's eccentricity has blended with nissan's blandness to create crap cars and crap ads.

I personally like this one but I'm a bit biased (better than the current clay-moulding one): http://youtube.com/watch?v=SaLh9K1LdKc
I loved the Territory Turbo one but it was sooooo wrong because I hate SUVs. The Nissan smile ad was good (was that for the Navara?) I really don't like the Honda Accord ad where everything 'just works'. Simply because that describes Hondas perfectly, turning the key feels like turning the plastic key in a children's playset, not starting a car. And I don't get that ad where those little people or whatever run out in front of the Accord with the price. Whispering "What? Now? How far are we going?"

That Honda ad where the husband and wife are having a "jolly" time, then the husbands mother (in the backseat) asks to be driven home!
And another vote for the "Must be stuck in Third" Ford ad

It's a dodgey advertisment, why? Look at where they hit. The slow one hits the truck with their bumper absorbing all the shock. The other one hits a metal pole that skims the bonnet and penetrates the cabin. A load of BS.

I wonder what happened to that new Holden ad with the Astra's, where the girl and boy are racing each other and the girl turns in front of the boy.
A bit dangerous don't you think? If doing circle work in an empty paddock is dangerous, turning in front of other people and not following the mandated spacing is more of a no no in a built up area. But that Republica Ready to Go song is really, really starting to grind on me right now.
