My manual EF had a tendency to stall when in neutral, because of its unsteady idle. I recall putting it into neutral approaching a roundabout, then realising the engine had cut out because I couldnt turn the wheel quick enough to steer out of the roundabout. Nearly ran up the gutter. The Ford service guy just laughed.
