its the best time of week.. after a hard slog its time to polish it off with a hulk thread to ease you into your first beer.
Are we the only ones who value old cars? (along with our GM brothers).. Plenty of people on the forum drive old cars, e series, AU falcons and even b series. Pre-90s cars are basically antique models. But non ford/GM people look down at us and think he/she is driving an old clanger, driving a new car is a status thing and can be a little demeaning to be driving an old car. People would think "geez they didnt really make much of themselves did they" You dont see people buying old Audi cars or old Mercedes or old BMWs.. Its either a new model or your a pretender or a bottomfeeder in society. Also if your in a senior position at work, do you feel a little embarrassed driving an old E series or AU falcon into the carpark when even the admin girl drives a new car? As much as I like old falcons/commodores, im starting to see the light a little from their perspective. Are we the only people who value old cars and think we are driving something special? whilst everyone else is giggling at us thinking we are the bottomfeeders? |
