People need to understand that there are consequences for their actions. And no, I didn't get a hard on (very classy). I actually feel for this employee. BUT THEY HAVEN'T HELPED themself. Annual leave IS NOT THE SAME as sick leave. In our department, that is costed, along with paid parental etc. SICK LEAVE is not. So, annual leave is for holidays.
