Default Exhaust crackle

Do you like it? I have noticed among some of my car friends that they don't like the overrun crackle when changing down gears or the rumble you get when you clutch in. I personally don't mind it as long as it isn't almost backfiring all the time. Mine nearly backfires when cold when I clutch in and I personally love it. What are your opinions?
