Agree 100%, ive never said its "unsafe" just not "safer"... again though, its very dependant of driving conditions as you've outlined.
Very compelling stat too that speed was a factor in 42% of NSW fatals, that stat seems consistent with the message that ambo's and police seem to say as well....
