Default Territory SR2

Ford Australia has released a new limited edition Territory model, the Territory SR2, ahead of next week's Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.

The introduction of the new Territory SR2 follows the success of the Territory SR model line over recent years, with limited edition models in 2006, 2007 and 2008 all delivering exceptional value-for-money, as well as exclusivity, to SUV customers.

"The unique Territory SR models have been a popular addition to our SUV line-up since they were first introduced in 2006," said Ford Australia Vice President Marketing and Sales, Beth Donovan.

"The new Territory SR2 continues our special value pack tradition by providing customers with an extensive list of extra features, on top of the Territory's already comprehensive equipment package.

"With $5,645^ worth of extra value at no additional cost, including the luxury of a rear DVD system to keep the family entertained on long trips, the Territory SR2 will be introduced with a recommended retail price of $37,990* for the rear-wheel drive variant.

"However, for a limited time, the Territory SR2 RWD will be available for the recommended offer price of $36,990*, which is a truly amazing deal that improves the value equation for customers by a further $1,000."

On sale from October 1, the new Territory SR2 is based on the Territory TX and is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

The exterior of the Territory SR2 is enhanced with stylish seven-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, a unique 'SR2' badge and a full body colour pack, including bumpers and door cladding.

It will also be available in two new exterior paint colours – Seduce and Sensation – which were previously reserved for the premium Territory Ghia, Turbo and Ghia Turbo models.

Inside there is an equally impressive list of bonus features, including an Alpine DVD system for rear seat passengers with a 10.2-inch screen, remote control and two sets of wireless headphones.

A unique sports leather trim pack is also part of the SR2 package, featuring partial leather seat trim, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped gearshift and handbrake cover, and colour-matched centre console lid and door trims, all in a Warm Charcoal finish.

Cruise control is also fitted as standard equipment, incorporating easy-to-use steering wheel-mounted buttons, to complete the SR2 package.

The recommended retail price for the all-wheel drive Territory SR2 variant is $42,990.
