Default NSW Overtaking lane changes - Drivesafe??

Has anyone noticed that the RTA has changed all the overtaking lanes to a double white line between the two lanes heading in one direction and the single lane in the other? This seems to be a blanket application on all overtaking lanes in NSW. I regularly travel on the Barton Highway between Yass and Canberra and the clever buggers have reduced the safe overtaking opportunities by at least 50%. I'm predicting a rise in the number of head ons as a result of frustrated drivers but I guess time will tell.
Anyone else noticed this happening?

Regards,
Tote
