Well I got my bike up for sale so that'll give me a bit over 5k, my origanal plan was to build a 250Xflow and put it in my XD, but since I'm selling the bike I don't really need a ute any more. + the ute needs a bit of rust repair done to it.
Sooo..... Here's the new plan, Buy a cortina ( a rust free one ) Still build the 250xflow except drop it in the corty. Have it all done within 5 months (before I turn 18) Ok so I got a bit of cash saved up making my budget around 8k when I sell the bike. I've been looking at a TE, but my question is, is there anything I should be looking out for with the cortina's? Will the chassie handle the torque of a modded crossflow? Will be running a cam 2000-5000rpm rev range maybe a bit wilder with around 10.5:1 compression. And is there anything I should be looking out for with the cortina's? Will be buying one as close to standard as possible so I can do the work on it my self.
