Don't know about the 5W-30 Penrite but I've been using the Penrite Enviro 5W-40 synthetic in my diesel Mercedes for the last 20,000 km's or so and it seems to be running very well indeed. I change the Merc's oil every 5,000 km's, its disgustingly black by then, but that's diesel engines for ya.
The new SRT8 runs full synthetic Mobil 1 0W-40. I was chatting to my mechanic the other day about synthetic oils and he reminded me that they're much better at handling high heat level's than conventional oils. Last edited by Rodge; 30-05-2014 at 08:32 AM. |
