Default Car transport: Adelaide to Perth....Advice

Hi Guys,

I'm sacrificing the 02 AU III to the altar of the ex wife. I'm in the process of getting quotes from mobs like Autotrans TNT etc.

Can anyone recommend someone or know of smaller mobs out of Adelaide or Perth that can do it cheaper as money is v tight.

Thanks in advance

Trent

I would think either Patrick or Toll would be the way to go.

I used Adelaide Car Express and was very happy with the price and service. That was from Wagga to Renmark.

We shifted an LTD from Perth to Adelaide for about 300. That was picked up in perth and dropped in Adelaide. It was all done through Toll but it went on the train and it was probably a backload.

cheers

Everything from Perth is backload. If you care about your car DON'T use the rail....

Why not? They put it in a container so theres almost no risk of damage these days.

You really DON'T want to know how some of the drivers treat your car then, ignorance is bliss as they say LOL

I've had experience with this mob, and definately wouldn't recommend them. (Melb to Perth)
They write up bogus damage on the car to cover their butt's for when it gets there (freshly restored car). After signifant arguments, they re-issued a new damage report, and alas when it got there it had dents in doors and nose cone and signifant stone chips. Plus it took 3 weeks on a promised week. The guy at the other end chose them on price and delivery time........

Do they?
How do they get them into a container?
The damage is not from the traveling but more from they way they are "loaded" on to the train

You'll cop that anywhere. If its the most efficient way, might aswell use it.
