its actually the same one that Bobman posted.
wont be a cheap repair either since the Curtains are deployed - hence it being written off. with little FGs sitting at wreckers around the country, be prepared to see a lot more written off till there is a steady supply of second hand parts around. Curtain Airbags alone for that car would be around the 10k mark from Ford. |

They are writing them off because Ford cant supply parts.
6 Month wait on parts for FPVs!! even with small amounts of damage! Curtain bags dont cost anywhere near 10 kay...

I'm trying to work out what happened to that car for it to have received the damage it has. Big hit rear drivers side, scrape rear passenger side and frontal damage. Must have had a big lose. Should have stuck with the G6. :P
Apart from a brown spot on the drivers seat, the interior would probably be pristine. |

Might have been that dodgy independent rear end.....
They should have stuck with leaf springs!!! :P Who knows, but it's a shame to see it dead......... Ed |

Ok, tell me, is this another ploy of a Holden driver buying a Ford, just so as he can crash it to take another Ford off the road?
Or was it this Punnet "The cat scared me" Punnet, driving this vehicle recently?? Seems to be a lot of cars lately, just written off with low k's . It's a conspiracy I tell you.! |

The car would be written off due the the whole side of the car being a 1 piece pressing, there are non repairable hardened steels etc used in some sections and given that both sides are damaged that badly, it would be mega bucks to fix.

I wonder how much worse it would have looked if it was a VE Commodore, seeing the Falcon has a 5 star rating and the Commodore only a 4, especially on the r/h rear 1/4 near were the harderned steel is used?

This car was originally at Fowles. Wonder why it's at Pickles now.
I think I know why. Pickles tends to get higher prices on their damaged stock ;) Some of the prices are crazy. I'll be watching this auction for sure.

I've been told of one FG F6 that had an intensive meeting with an armco already. Wasn't written off either. If true i feel for the owner. I'd want a fresh one. |

Insurance replaced the car, pick it up last Tuesday. The one at Fowles is different G6ET. I went to the action last Tuesday they wanted to start the bidding at $20,000 but ended started at $10,000 end up at $15,500 but got passed in so it's up again this week.

So that's two Black G6ETs written off at different auction houses with FPV badges on the steering wheel and front - at the same time?
Weird.

[QUOTE=loftie]And another question.... ???
The badges?? FPV on nose and Steering wheel... but not on rear?? Whats the go???[/QUOTEYeah I got another black G6ET. What’s the big deal about the badges, it had one on the back as well. the FPV badges look a lot better than the ford ones everything on a FPV vehicle has ford on it i.e.: the steering wheel, on the back of the keys, on the tub liner on the FPV utes and every where else it's not like a HSV where you wouldn't find a Holden badges or even the name Holden anywhere in the car not even on the wiring looms. |
