FPV & XR Owners Club Show n' Shine: Open to all Fords only
Date: 25th November 2007
Venue: John Knight Memorial Park, Belconnen ACT


Dear Fellow Ford Owners & Enthusiasts,

The FPV & XR Owners Club of ACT would like to personally invite you to the clubs 2007 Show n' Shine.

Once again, this years show will be run in conjuction with Marques in the Park', an event open to all makes and models including motorbikes, drag cars and hotrods. The combined show in previous years has displayed in excess of 450 vehicles.

The FPV & XR Owners Club of ACT welcomes all Ford Motor Vehicles from all classes to our annual Show n' Shine, all vying for the numerous awards on offer. Also on the day there will be vendor's stands, competitions, and food stalls all to help keep the day action packed. Additionally the venue is only walking distance from Westfield Shopping centre and various Family food outlets.



Cost: $15 per car.
Times: 8.30am - 3.00pm approx

The cost of the show will register your car to be in the running for various trophies and prizes. Trophy categories will be available on the day of the show.

For me, it's probably more practical to go the the A.C.T. but am still seriously thinking of going down to Wagga Wagga too.

Any updates to this. Anyone else considering a trip the the capital. At this stage I think I have apart from my XR5, another XR5 and 1 XR4. Really hoping more decide to turn up. We can have our own area.

Bucky, this would've been ideal but I've committed quite a while ago to be at Oran Park with Best Racing (Focus ST170). If the Show is on again next year I'll try to get to it.

Weekend Program[U]



Saturday 24th

4 - 4.30pm - Meet at Summernats Central, the Shell Servo Epic

4.30 - 6pm - Depart the Shell for a Cruise through Canberra City. The Cruise will take us through the heart of Canberra providing some site seeing opportunities with the opportunity for some photos at Parliament House. Then continuing on back through the western side of the city ending at The Sports Club Kaleen. (UHF Ch10)

6pm - A drink and Dinner at The Sports Club Kaleen


Sunday 25th - Show 'n' Shine 07[B]

8 - 9am - Meet at Acton Park Ferry Terminal on Barrine Dve, next to Commonwealth Bridge for a cruise.

9am - Cruise to John Knight Park for the Show 'n' Shine. This cruise is run the the Council of ACT Motor Clubs and will consists of all makes and models of vehicles intending to participate in Marques in the park. All are encouraged to attend. On arrival at Acton, gather in your various clubs or makes and follow on.

8.30am - For those not intending to take part in the cruise, the gate will be open at John Knight Park for entrants.

10am - The park is open to the public for the FPV & XR Club Show 'n' Shine and Marques in the Park.

From here, have a good look around at the various displays, meet and greet other enthusiasts and flash up your BBQ's for a Snag or two. There'll also be some lucky door prize giveaways throughout the day, complements of some of our sponsors.

2pm - Judgeing and Trophy Presentations.

3pm - Farewells and Depart.

BAh you have to hold this on the same day as Darren Best and his ST170 @ oran park hehehe.. .

sorry to say but unless Darren isnt racing ill be at Oran park.
