My mate has a green commo with the green tints on, he got his done through 'Tint Pro' and was very happy with the service and product quality.

As far as I know, it is legal as long as it is not too dark

Colour doesn't matter, just the darkness. 30% is the legal limit for side windows, No limit for rear window. My rear window has 5% on top of 30% (almost black) The darker your interior is, the better the effect.

Go to http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/ at the top in "Search" enter "tinted". From the resulting page, go down to "Tinted Windscreen and Windows (pdf 619KB)" and click on the number "2".
