I still say this is a stuffed up way to launch a new car.

this hasn't been released by Holden, it was leaked.

What exactly don't u like about they way they are launching it?

I think it depends how long they choose to drip feed for. If it goes on for more than about a month then i think its a bit too long

They almost certainly won't. But they will release information so as it comes from them first and not the public. Holden have leaked like a sieve on this launch.

Oh I don’t know. Perhaps it the fact this sort of thing can and will happen!!

Why spend all this money on a very important product to lose complete control over the way the car is released. At this point come Sunday there won't be anything to release

What's the difference between a "Calais" and a "Calais V"? And is the SSV the old SV8? And do we also assume that their is no turbo model (as some have suggested)? And it also looks like there will be an LPG version offered. Dedicated LPG?

Calais will be like the Calias used to be before they turned it into a "Sports Luxury" model. The Calais V will be like the current model, big wheels, body kit, sports suspension ect.

The SS will replace the SV8 and the SS V will sit where the current SS is.

No turbo model, and the LPG is the dual fuel version as per VZ.

The ISOVIN numbers show the only V8 option is a 6 litre. Does that mean the GTS will be 6 litres as well. I don't think they would have access to the 7 litre as its a hand built GM Performance engine not used on any other production model bar the Z06.

Omega?

What a gay name, 'Executive' was fine.

Engine choices look pretty much the same as VZ.

Calais V could be interesting though.

I don't know if the ISOVIN picture would apply to the HSV's though. Because it has no mention of the HSV on that image or of any of the specifications. I'd expect it to have either a tuned ls2, supercharged ls2 or the ls7. However i don't know if they will go the full 373kw power output since the Z06 produces similar output.

Carsales put up an article on the E series HSV's:

http://editorial.carsales.com.au/car...w/1897432.aspx

The GTS is going to be a stunner if it does get the z06 engine.

Damn it seems in the holden camp they're just going bigger and bigger with their engines to get more horses under the hood. With all these new hoon laws etc. these days and production cars getting an increase in power do you think we will see another muscle car power scare like in the 70's? To me it seems like holden are only interested in getting more power out of their cars, while ford are somewhat restricting themselves with the turbo models and not eve a power change in the 290 or 260 from BA to BF.

acctualy they were removed from the site they were hosted on because there is an Embargo in place on all VE info until 12 noon Sunday.

And also because those items are copywritten to Holden

SO if the "holdens" are getting faster and wilder, where does that leave HSV?

Surely Holden should do the "mainstream" and HSV the hotties.
Just like Ford and FPV.
