I want to paint my calipers a gun metal grey or similar colour.
Any recommendations on where I can find something like this? Supercheap and eBay have the usual red, black, yellow etc but nothing like what I want. Thanks |

To create a "gun metal grey", simply buy two cans of caliper paint... One in silver and one in black.
First spray a coat of silver on and while the paint is still wet, mist a thin layer of black so the two colours will mix and can blend into a gun metal grey shade. If it appears too dark, mist again with the silver. |

Or, just use normal gunmetal grey paint. Calipers on a road car don't really get hot.

I did mine to colour match my car, i used etch primer, colour match paint, then heat proof clear over the top just over 2 years ago and there are no issues.

I did mine using $2.50 spray paint from a discount store about 10+ years ago, still looks fine.

I wanted to paint mine bright green but couldn't find bright green caliper paint, so i went with traditional red.
a few days later i found out 'normal' spray paint with heat proof clear over the top works..

I did Matt black caliper paint first then Tropicana green (very similar to Dash) then clear caliper paint over the top.
Lasted 4 or so years and counting.
