Valued Contributor: For members whose non technical contributions are worthy of recognition. - Issue reason: Jim has consistently for some time now shared his life, and his passions in his XY GT and more so his FG GT in a way so everyone here feels part of the journey, which helps make AFF such a worthwhile place to be. An outstanding contributor in my book.

Is AFF available on any other apps similar to Tapatalk like Forum Runner. Tapatalk just released an upgrade and it is a big step backwards I reckon.

Have a look at the 100+ 1star comments on the app store and you'll see that this opinion of the new version is pretty widespread

I've added Forum Runner to the available apps. Let me know how it goes.

Cheers

Thanks for the prompt attention to this Russ. Forum Runner is working well, pictures come up as thumbnails until you click them and all forums, sub-forums, topics etc. etc. are in a logical order. MUCH better presentation and function than the latest Tapatalk, imho.

Thanks again

Thanks for the prompt reply and turning on Forum Runner Russ!

But like tut0r, I'm not finding it no matter how I search. Any specific search parameters we should use? I've tried AFF, Australian Ford Forums, fordforums.com.au etc. but no luck yet.

Could there be a delay before Forum Runner flicks the switch do you think?

Cheers again for doing it.

The Forum Runner website says our status is unverified although the verification link works fine. I have logged a support request with them.

The error we get is:

  • Error retrieving the return value from your forum. Please check your installation. You might have also entered the incorrect forum URL in the forum manager. Make sure that the URL is correct, starts with http:// and is the full default path to your forum)
  • This is the URL that we attempted to fetch: http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumru...hp?cmd=version
.. but that URL successfully reports the following:

{"success":true,"data":{"version":"1.7.4","platfor m":"vb38","push_enabled":true,"charset":"ISO-8859-1","sitekey_setup":true**,"ads":0,"pm_notices":0," sub_notices":2**

Over to them now.

Cheers
Russ

Solved the mystery myself - their IP (Forum Runner) is inside one of our blocked ranges. Removed the block and now it verifies fine.

Cheers
