A Finnish man who dumped his Ford Anglia in the woods behind his parents' house in 1974 recently returned to their derelict estate and was surprised to find the vehicle had held up surprisingly well over the last 40 years.

Hope he'll have the decency to take it home and restore it.

Idk, I've never seen a FG that's been dumped and rotted for 40yrs. I'd imagine the electrics would be gone but metal is metal but the paint would last longer, or at least I'd hope so. The plastic bumpers will last an age, engines are made to tighter tolerances so may survive time better as well.

Cars die easier now while being drive which is by design, I'd like to think in 40 years we will be able to find current falcons that have sat for an age and survived very well (considering). Restoring them may be harder than the current classics, but who knows.

What a crock. He dumped it at his parents house...... of course it will still be there. What a knob.
